Position: Part-time clinical genetics counselor
Job Description
We are seeking a genetics counselor to join our Huntington’s Disease Clinic multidisciplinary team. The Stony Brook HDSA Center of Excellence is undergoing a period of significant growth, servicing more than 20 new at-risk patients per annum who seek genetics counseling.
Responsibilities
- Provide genetics counseling for patients who are at risk for Huntington’s disease
- Ability to provide counseling via telehealth
- Availability on 2nd Monday afternoons
Required qualifications
- Master’s or higher degree in Genetic Counseling
- American Board of Genetic Counseling Certification
- Experience working with Huntington’s disease families
